We are now looking to fill a Security/Continuity Specialist vacancy in our ICT Department based in Carlow.
Job Title: ICT Security/Continuity Specialist (Ref: SCS/ICT/1214)
Location: Teagasc, Head Office, Oak Park, Carlow
Reporting To: Head of ICT Department
Post Type / Salary: Appointment will be made on a permanent basis at Grade I Professional level. The current salary scale is €31,729 to €62,700. Starting salary will be at the minimum of the scale as per Government Circular E100/8/82. Exceptional circumstances may apply for candidates with current or previous service in the public sector. Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government Policy.
Basic Function: With organisation wide responsibilities the successful applicant will be responsible for developing and maintaining Teagasc’s ICT security policies, for promoting awareness and good practices and for making recommendations for improvements in line with best industry practice. He/she will audit Teagasc’s application systems security and infrastructural security arrangements and will also develop, test and maintain Teagasc’s ICT Continuity Plan.
