Application Support Engineer

Abrivia Recruitment are looking to recruit a Application Support Engineer for a company based in Dublin City. This individual will have excellent English and communication skills and the ability to be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure or independently.

Responsibilities:

* Resolve support tickets logged by the application users in a timely manner.
* Create XML workflows to process files coming from external sources.
* Create file transformation maps using Cosmos software.
* Work with brokers on file delivery setup and maintenance.
* Testing of new application features.

Requirements:

* Third level degree
* 1-2 years in a similar role- fund background

* Strong programming experience including data and logical structures,
* Strong MS Excel skills.
* Experience of formulas and external data imports.
* Good knowledge of database design and SQL
* Experience using XML for data storage, including traversing and parsing XML.
* Strong knowledge of File Transfer Protocol.
* Experience with data encryption, preferably using PGP.
* Some knowledge of financial products an advantage
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
