Dublin, Co Dublin (office/field based, with travel to client sites in Greater Dublin)

Our client is one of the nation’s leading IT Managed Services and Cloud providers. An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join their team and support their ever-expanding customer base.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a technical support professional with a variety of server and networking skills looking to develop their career with an innovative and successful company.

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting and troubleshooting a wide range of systems. This will include network systems, servers, SANs, email systems, firewalls, security, disaster recovery and cloud solutions.

Taking pride in your work, you’ll seek to resolve all customer issues in a swift and efficient manner to minimise downtime. Providing both remote and face-to-face technical support, you’ll act as the main point of contact for the duration of each issue and manage customer relationships and expectations accordingly.

Additionally, you’ll challenge and push yourself to provide the best possible standard of service to customers to uphold our client’s excellent reputation.

To be considered for this role, you must have at least three years’ experience in a similar technical support role, as well as a degree and Microsoft certifications. You must also have experience of the following:

- Microsoft Server 2007 and 2012
- Exchange Server 2007, 2010 and 2013
- Hyper-V and/or VMware
- Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems, from XP to Windows 8
- LAN, VPN and virtualisation configuration and security
- SonicWALL firewalls
- Office 365 and Hosted Exchange migration

A full driving licence is also essential.

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you must have excellent English communication skills, a professional telephone manner and great problem solving abilities. A passion for delivering excellent service is key.

Due to the urgent nature of this role, preference will be given to candidates who are currently based in Ireland.
