Establishing and maintaining the UX strategy and communicating to internal and external stakeholder.
Researching customer and end user UX requirements and championing the user experience across the business
Prototyping – creating and maintaining a working prototype to showcase the application UI / UX, corporate brand guidelines, and contemporary UX standards across the industry.
Ensuring that UX continues to be fully embedded in the agile development process
Working closely with Business Analysts and agile teams to ensure that all features being developed are fully scoped and supported with wireframes and other visual artefacts as required to support features development
Visiting customer sites to observe how the customer uses the application and feed into feature requirements and develop a detailed set of User Personas / Archetypes in conjunction with the Product Management and Marketing team
Providing empirical usability feedback and recommendations based on user surveys, interviews and testing
Providing coaching, guidance, mentoring and tools to business analysts, developers and testers to improve UI and usability methods
Working with other UX Specialists globally to share methods and results and maintain a professional network and practice.
Keeping up-to-date with legal requirements, standards, guidelines and professional good practice relating to UI design, accessibility, usability testing and usability research
Managing 3rd party providers to deliver supplementary visual or UX reviews or artefacts

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders
Excellent presentation skills – communicating ideas and thoughts articulately and effectively, and methods and techniques for delivering effective presentations.
Proven knowledge of and experience with design tools
Ability to keep overall objectives and strategies in mind, and not being deflected by matters of detail
Proficient in applying quality standards to all tasks undertaken and ensuring that nothing is overlooked
Keeps up-to-date on competitor products, latest technologies and industry trends
Ability to build productive working relationships with internal teams and management staff
Good leadership skills in order to resolve problems where required

Experience
At least five years’ experience as a usability specialist with a web-based application
A track record of progressing product designs from initial concept, through information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, highly polished creative concepts to finished product
A comprehensive online portfolio that illustrates design processes and execution of concepts across platforms
Experience in providing usability consultancy services in-house or commercially
Experience in designing and conducting usability research and presenting findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
Experience in visiting customer sites to gather requirements
Knowledge of design fundamentals including information design, visual design, industry UI standards for web-based applications, and ease of use best practices.
Proficient with HTML, CSS,
Some knowledge of JavaScript/Jquery
Expert Prototyping, Wireframe and Mock-up experience.
