IT Systems Engineering Specialist - Cisco, VOIP, Linux, TCP/IP, SQL
My client an exciting, fast paced and growing telecoms company based in Dublin City are seeking a Systems Engineering Specialist to join their service team.
The SES works as a part of the IT Infrastructure & Labs team and is responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of a number of services which are either run as part of corporate IT or hosted labs. It will include an element of being on call, to cover support for vital IT service issues or planned improvements.
Technical Requirements
* 5 years' experience in IT, Systems, or Network Engineering
* Strong Microsoft Exchange / AD implementation and administration MSCE qualifications a plus
* Experience of VOIP phone systems voice and video, conferencing (Cisco)Good knowledge of TCP/IP suite (HTTP, SSL, DNS, SMTP, etc)
* Basic knowledge of storage technologies - SAN & NAS, iSCSI & RAID
* Good Linux knowledge (BSD, LAMP stack preferred)
* Good knowledge of VMware (ESXi experience preferred) or other virtualisation techniques and hands-on experience with hypervisors.
* Knowledge of SNMP and Experience with Monitoring Software and Tools such as OpenNMS, Zabbix, Zenoss and Nagios/Cacti
* Solid understanding of network infrastructure and design (CCDA or CCNA preferred): firewalls, routing and switching.
* Basic SQL / MySQL database troubleshooting.
* Experience with systems and platform performance analysis and troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems.
* Detailed knowledge of systems and platform management tools and software.
* Experience with Sharepoint desirable
