.Net Developer role including C# with opportunities to develop or apply skills in MVC, Bootstrap UI, Xamarin
Note you must have relevant skills in .Net, C#. You must have an EU/EEA passport.
The role is immediately available. The post is based in Galway, Ireland, and is an initial one year contract, extendible, and with opportunities for extensive skills development.
You will be based with a key company client within an IT and data team - working on environmental applications and public facing systems. The work environment and location is excellent with an interesting application and leading technologies.
We generate and store large volumes of environmental data on a continuous basis. This data is a combination of static and dynamic data and comes in a range of formats. This data is current made available online in basic format. Data is stored in a number of formats including as flat files and in SQL Server databases (with spatial extensions). Middleware providing various REST APIs are available.
The aim of this work is to extend the data delivery systems to make this data available programmatically through REST APIs, and to develop apps / web applications on top of these data services for a number of use cases.
The aim of this post is to develop responsive HTML5 applications for web, including configurable dashboard-style interfaces for presenting data using charting, map controls and other graphical controls, and apps / app containers for mobile deployment based on Xamarin (or alternative). You will carry out requirements analysis, development and testing work. Experience in UX design would be beneficial.
