realTime is seeking and experienced Software Development Manager for a key client, in Dublin.
You will be the leader of the core product development team reporting to the Managing Director. You will be involved in creating the exciting next generation of enterprise level products and delivering these to our customers
Software Development Manager
You will manage a team of 12 developers and will be responsible for the development and test activity of core and customer specific elements of the product suite. The position requires high level business requirements analysis, product architecture planning, day to day team management and direct contact with customers. Key Responsibilities
Working with the management team to align product and company strategies
On occasion working directly with clients on strategic development
Manage the core product map
Day to day management of our technical resources in the areas of design, software development and testing
As the leader of a high performing team, you will be expected to bring fresh ideas and solutions to take our development practices to the next level
Work with the Finance department on budgets
Work with the test and support departments to ensure delivery of quality
Work with the Professional Services Team to plan and execute projects
Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
3rd Level Degree ideally in Computer Science
At least 10 years software industry experience
3 years plus working at management level
Experience of 3rd party system Integrations
Desired Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Good knowledge of Microsoft .Net C#, ASP.NET
Knowledge and experience of XML and XML Web Services (SOAP) also an advantage
Good knowledge and experience of MS SQL including database design, performance optimisation
Experience of working in and running an AGILE development environment
Experience of development for the cloud platforms
