Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor data provided to Managing Director and Senior Management team from different departments to ensure consistency across sources.
* Provide concise and insightful analysis to all areas of the business to support management in making strategic business decisions.
* Develop new metrics to best analyse all areas of the business.
* Coordinate the preparation of the annual Business Plan & subsequent quarterly reforecasts submitted to Group Finance
* Manage the building of the SRS suite of reports.
* Design new and improve existing data reporting tools.
* Give direction to and participate with project teams in the implementation of processes which result in a high degree of data quality and integrity, and assist in the resolution of data quality issues.
* Develop a data governance strategy and controls to ensure consistency of data between various systems and components.
* Research and assess emerging data analysis technologies, and make recommendations in line with the business strategy.
* Coach and develop the Data Analyst.

Key Accountabilities:

* Ensure all collation and data analysis activity is conducted in line with Data Protection legislative requirements and industry best practice to guarantee data quality and integrity.
* Establish and maintain a Data Model that describes how data is processed, stored, and utilised in the entire system.
* Point person for all revenue & cost forecasting and subsequent analysis of variances against such forecasts.
* Manage relationships with data providers to ensure data requirements are met in an efficient manner.
* Manage the creation of automated reports for all areas of the business.
* Lead analysis in identifying potential growth and improvement opportunities for the Exchange.
* Support the Finance Manager in ensuring agreed goals and strategy are achieved.
* Lead people management responsibilities for the Data Analyst, and any future team members.

Required:

* BA/BSc in relevant subject matter (Business, Economics, Maths) or equivalent accounting qualification.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position.
* Experience in leading the delivery of data analytics services in a professional services or large corporate environment.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Advanced Excel and good working knowledge of reporting tools.
* Good people management and relationship building skills.
* Strong communication skills, oral and written.
* Must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
