My client is a respected provider of software solutions to financial companies worldwide which specialises in the provision of big data solutions. They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Java Developer to join their talented and motivated Development team to work on their customised data management service.
The role involves participation throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, development and integration. You will work closely with Business Analysts to translate business requirements and develop high quality software applications.
Requirements of the Role:
* Third level qualification
* 3 years development experience using Java
* Solid understanding of databases such as Oracle 11g, SQL, JDBC
* Good knowledge of Web technologies such as HTTP, XML, XSLT, XPath
* Experience with open source libraries and frameworks: Struts, Spring, Hibernate
* Ability to work on Linux platform
* Understanding of Java Enterprise APIs and ability to communicate knowledge well
* Good teamwork skills
* An interest in financial market a big plus!!
