Senior Java Developer - Wanted City Centre

Software Engineer / Front-end developer

My client is seeking a software developer with extensive skills in web application development.

The candidate will work as part of the development team and will be involved in both the front-end and middle tier development process.

Responsibilities include

Developing, testing and debugging code to assure proper functioning of the web-based application.

The successful candidate would be required to assist in the release of software builds to test / production environments, providing functional and test documentation for all completed work.

Specific Requirements:

Advanced programming and practical experience in the following technologies: XSL/
Good working knowledge of J2EE.
Practical experience using BEA Weblogic, Rational Rose.
Knowledge of Rational Clearcase or another source control management tool required.
Some database experience would be useful, but not essential
2+ years Internet related design experience ideally within a web development team environment.
Knowledge of software development lifecycles/quality assurance practices.
Experience in the financial software sector would be an added advantage
