SAP Business Intelligence

My client is currently seeking to recruit an experienced SAP BI (Business Intelligence) consultant, capable of leading BI/BW implementations. The consultant will be responsible for design, development and support of our clients BI/BW systems. The skills demonstrated will include team leadership, design and architecture, configuration and modeling and reporting. The consultant will also have experience of one or more of the following which complement their BW knowledge and experience: Previous R/3 module implementation experience, ABAP programming experience.

The consultant’s duties will include

- Working with our clients to define and agree analytical requirements
- Hands-on implementation of BI/BW from blue print to go live
- Day to day management of the BI/BW reporting developments
- Train / mentor junior team members
- Pre-sales activity and practice development


Candidates are required to have the following skill sets

- Minimum of 3 years experience working with BW
- Completed full systems development / SAP BI implementation project lifecycle
- Completed functional design and system configuration to support process or functional area(s) for at least 2 SAP BW implementations
- Use of structured systems development and project management methodologies
- Operated in multi-project, matrix managed environment
- Developed Web templates and published Bex queries to a portal
- Bex transportation management
- Documentation
- Configuration and changes to update / transfer rules including ABAP if required
- Development and monitoring of Process chains
- BI / SAP Enterprise Portal integration
- Business Content (especially relating to FI-CO, AR and AP )
- Ideally SAP BW certified and have experience of one or more of the following; previous SAP R/3 or ECC/ERP module implementation experience, ABAP programming experience
- Any experience using BI 7.0 would be a bonus
- Knowledge of the insurance industry is an advantage
