Microsoft Engineer

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Designing and Managing Windows Server Deployments
- Work with senior engineers on Exchange deployments.
- Report SPLA Licensing
- Ensure systems are patched and up to date with latest releases for all customers
- Pre-Sales Support: Assist sales team with proposals involving Microsoft solutions.
- Provide Post Sales Support assistance to key customers, trouble ticket resolution and assist customers in maximising value with their solutions.
- Take ownership of ticket escalations to make sure the issue is resolved.
- Manage and maintain shared hosting cluster
- Work with senior engineers on Microsoft clustering.
- Maintain VMWare installations and images.

Technical Skills required for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Microsoft Windows Server
- Microsoft Exchange
- VMWare
- Microsoft Sharepoint Services
- MSSQL
- Microsoft Windows Active Directory
- Microsoft ISA Server
- Deploying Microsoft Applications in a Hosted Environment

Experience

- Previous deployments of Windows and SQL solutions.
- 3+ years working with Microsoft software.
- Knowledge of hosted applications and solutions a benefit.

Qualification

- Relevant Microsoft Certifications Required.
- Network and Security qualifications a distinct advantage.
- Ideally you will also be working towards gaining additional qualifications.
