Contract Risk & Compliance Project Manager

A Top Banking Client is looking for a RISK & COMPLIANCE PROJECT MANAGER initially for a 3 month contract.

The role will involve:
• Develop effective relationship with stakeholders

• Develop and foster effective working practices within Group IT to enable the IT Risk & Compliance function efficiently

• The proactive identification of Group IT related risks.

• Timely and professional response to regulatory requirements (existing and upcoming) as they impact Group IT.

• Providing guidance and support to key stake holders on matters relating to IT risk and compliance.

• Producing clear and authoritative assessments relating to IT risk and compliance.

• Ensuring timely follow up and closure of IT audit issues .

• Provide support and guidance to Programme / Project Managers in relation to Programme / Project risks.

• Undertaking regular monitoring on Group IT standards across Group IT to provide the necessary assurance that the compliance obligations of Group IT are being met.

• Ensuring compliance planning, monitoring and reporting is in line with Group standards across Group IT. • Ensuring that all processes, practices, and relevant documentation in Group IT are fully compliant with Group policy/ procedures.

• Define and implement customer-oriented IT operational risk and compliance policies and processes (aligned with the Group’s Operational Risk and Compliance frameworks).

• Develop, implement and manage appropriate best practice processes.

• Monitor and manage 3rd party IT outsource providers’ risk and compliance obligations.

• Provide timely advice and support to Group IT functions and programmes.

• Communicate and integrate industry best practice in IT risk and compliance.

The candidates will be:

• Experienced risk management professional

• Experienced IT professional with minimum 7 years Financial Services experience

• Commercial Acumen: an ability to act in the best interests of the Bank to the mutual benefit of all players • Proactive approach to risks and solutions Leadership and Management

• Leadership skills with experience in staff management

• Risk / compliance qualified
