Business Analyst- Investment, Custody, Corporate Actions

My client a highly regarded Investment Banking software company has a recent opening for a Business Analyst to join their dynamic team based in the city centre in state of art surroundings. As a Business Analyst you be required to liaise with Business experts and IT. You will be responsible for the business analysis and design of solutions for company wide projects within the Investment Banking arena working on their excellent product offering.

If you have worked on projects with the banking area particularly custody and Investment Management or Corporate Actions then this is the ideal role for you. As a Business Analyst will work closely with the Product Management group and internal I.T. teams, to ensure all parties have clear requirements and specifications for systems development. Some Project Management experience would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities within the role:
• Perform Business and Systems Analyst duties on key systems.
• Generate Business Requirements documentation and Functional Requirements documentation.
• Provide support & expertise in systems integration and data management
• Ensure effective communication is employed to keep business, IT and key project personnel up to date

To be a successful candidate you will need the following skills:
• 3 - 4+ years in a business analyst role preferably having working on large projects for a bank or a software vendor
• Excellent communication skills including documentation skills and client presentation experience
• Ability to relate business requirements to development resources
• In depth understanding and experience of the software development process and overall project life cycle
• Experience of industry standard interfaces (XML, SWIFT etc) would be an advantage
• Experience in the financial services sector, specifically with Corporate Actions processing and Custody knowledge, is required and a distinct advantage
